Covid arrangements (updated February 2025)

While the Covid 19 Coronavirus pandemic has become a distant memory, the virus – along with flu and other nasties – remains in circulation. Several members of the Shed have had the virus over recent months, and while all have recovered, we still ask members to take care and avoid coming to the Shed if they think they may have Covid.

Whenever the weather permits, we aim to meet outdoors at the Shed, however when the weather is colder or wetter we meet indoors. Kitchen and toilet facilities at the Scout Hall are in use so we ask all members to act responsibly and help to keep everyone safe.

We still have the option of reverting to “Zoom” meetings as the fallback, although we have not used this since the restrictions on meetings were lifted back in 2021. If we have to revert to this for any reason, we will circulate the details of how members can keep in touch and support each other using technology.

We also have an active WhatsApp group that lets us keep in touch with each other outside our meetings – and this continues to be well used for general chatter, sharing of (appropriate) humour, and making arrangements for projects, meetings, and other get-togethers.
