Hi

Shed Notes 17th November
Hello all,
Yet another week of varying messages and controls due to Covid. Iain reminded us on Whats App today that he cannot travel into Edinburgh now, Men’s Shed not being essential business! I hope that some agreement comes out for Christmas which does not mean that January will be another lockdown. Time will tell. Tomorrow morning we will have our usual weekly zoom meeting – I had a brilliant six hour zoom last Saturday evening 6pm to midnight our time with ex Antarctic Survey colleagues from all over the world who tuned in for an evening of chat because we could not have our usual reunion in North Wales. We had people from the Americas, Canada, Australia and the Falkland Islands – the latter fresh from festivities on the beach where they were celebrating the last of the mines being cleared. He was on his way home to Stanley before then getting ready for a big Ceilidh in the town hall. I’ve been to one of those and it’s like the ones we used to have up in the Highlands when I was a lot younger than I am now!!
John came along to the shed today and I passed on the osb to make the figures for the Colinton Nativity. I was supposed to meet up with Geoff this week also to work out what to do with the rest of the project but bad weather, house viewing and car servicing all conspired to put that off until next week. I arranged today to get the mud kitchen Stewart made round to the Currie Primary tomorrow afternoon and Jim and Stewart will help me with that. I also managed to connect up with Lyall this week and collected the wood from his garage some of which is needed for the Colinton nativity and took Stewart’s extra beams (with Stewart’s help) away from his garage and into hiding! It’s been quite busy.
There's Not much else to report this week, hopefully I’ll see some of you on Zoom tomorrow and we can catch up a bit more then.

Cheers for now, stay safe and well.
