Scott Greenwood
Hi

Evening all.

SCOTT GREENWOOD (picture above)
I regret to inform everyone that Scott passed away last Thursday. Susan Louden, his partner, let the WhatsApp group chat know about it. The Shed has responded with lots of condolences and best wishes and we also sent a bouquet of flowers to her which she received today. She will let us know the date of his funeral, and it looks like it will be a football themed one!!! We all have fond memories of Scott and we won't forget him. Iain Miller has set up a page https://pentlandsmensshed.org/past-friends/ for shedders who are no longer with us and there is a very kind article by Iain about Scott.

ACE IT VOLUNTEERING AT DAVIDSON HOUSE
Once again I volunteered at Davidson House and helped out with some social activities relating to computer/tablets. It's definitely a social thing and Wafa, the ACE-IT outreach worker was always on hand to assist. We were joined by another lady called Athena, also from ACE-IT.

SKANSKA
Scott Lawrence of Skanska is really engaged with the Shed's purpose and is actively supporting our efforts. Hopefully he will obtain some scaffolding boards and roofing felt for us in the near future. The boards are for the Currie Primary School atrium refurbishment that Lyall and Ali 2 sheds have been working on. His contractor Alan Bruce Ltd dropped off some wooden fence posts and garden chairs on Monday which we will be able to refurbish quite easily. All being well, one of Breck's works will be on site to measure the kindling box lids so he can get us the roofing felt.

KINDLING
We sold 25 bags last weekend so another concerted effort to replenish stock in needed. The best endorsement for our kindling comes from a lady who lives in Skye and gets her son to get it from us, as the stuff up where she lives is rubbish!!! He took away 10 bags!!

That's it for tonight folks. See you tomorrow at the Shed.

Keep well.
Best Regards,

Rab Mason
