Hi

Evening all.

CURRIE PRIMARY SCHOOL READERS VOLUNTEERS
Emma Thompson is waiting on the school's business manager to process our applications for reading to the students, so I'm sure we'll hear something in there next few weeks regarding progress.

ACE IT VOLUNTEERS AT DAVIDSON HOUSE
I attended Davidson House on Monday afternoon and spent a pleasant 2 hours with 3 ladies helping them solve crossword puzzles. Wafa, the ACE-IT outreach worker was on hand to support me and help if the residents needed the toilet etc. I will be going back again this Monday coming. It's not at all difficult and I think it's more about giving the residents some social contact rather than being an IT guru. I'll keep you all posted on how things go...

SCRAP METAL BAYS
Alister Skinner has finished the fencing separating us from the Scouts and we now have the scrap bins on our side of the fence, It is definitely much neater and tidier.

BARBECUE
The metal grids for the barbecue weren't fitted last week, so we'll have another go tomorrow (weather permitting).

KINDLING
Ali Skinner has completed the first box that will contain our kindling stock, freeing up space for more materials to be kept in the shipping container. Ali 2 Sheds has painted it and we'll cover the lid with roofing felt once the second box is fully. built. We have sold a few more bags over the past weeks and we can now concentrate on chopping up more pallets to replenish the stock.

MUD KITCHEN APPEAL
If anyone has old/scrap pots and pans, or old taps that we can use for our mud kitchens, please let us know. If you can't make it to the shed, we'll come and collect. We have a couple of kitchens under construction just now so the utensils will come in very handy.

ALLISTER MCKILLOP'S OPEN DAY
How about making some bird boxes to put aside for the open day that Allister is talking about. It would be good if we could have stuff to sell at it. Any other suggestions taken on board gratefully!!

CURRIE PRIMARY SCHOOL ATRIUM
Ali and Lyell have really done some fantastic work so far. They need more scaffolding boards to create some flower beds (see image below), so if you have any spare, bring them to the shed!!!

That's it for tonight folks. See you tomorrow at the Shed.

Keep well.
Best Regards,
