Hi

It looks as though tomorrow may be a bit wet at the shed which is a pity because this weekend I was hoping to get as much of the school fence done as possible – more details later but those of you who may be available over tomorrow through to Tuesday for all or part of the time keep reading to the end!
I’ve been down in London until last night so have not an up to date news this week but progress has been made in the shed with storage boxes being filled and christmas goodies being made. No doubt I’ll hear more about all that tomorrow. Iain has now published our Shed Open week as Tuesday 22nd November through to monday 28th November. During that time, from probably 10-4 each day we will try and man the shed for sales, enquiries and viewing. Allister has finalised the banner with the suppliers and we should have it (them) by then.
Today Stewart and myself assembled and tested out Hugh’s new portable generator and tried it with the big Hilti drill in the shed with a view to using this on the school fence for making the post holes. Hugh, if you can take your augers over tomorrow that would be good then we can give your generator a full workout. I’m not relying on power available at the school for our work.

Tomorrow I’ll hitch up the trailer, go round to Stewarts for more wood then to the shed where we’ll load up pallets, gates, wood, postcrete etc for the school and then possibly just go around there to start the work if anyone else is available to make a start. My plan would be to work Friday as long as access is possible then on Saturday/Sunday if access is available at all and finish off on Monday/Tuesday when we will have access and before school opens. Weather will be an issue too so we’ll have to play it by ear but any/all help welcome say between 9 and 5 each day by arrangement using whats app. It may be muddy so good safety boots and gloves and waterproofs are probably a personal minimum to take. I’ll take a selection of tools bearing in mind others may be working at shed especially on Friday/Monday if they are making things so as not to deplete the tools there. I’m assuming that we will be able to park in the school car park as we did before but will need to take any food or beverages we may wish to keep us going.
We can discuss this more tomorrow morning but this is the heads up.

Regards to all, take care
Alister
