COMMUNITY CHEST GRANT SUCCESS

Firstly and most importantly, thank you to Ali Skinner (author) and Lyall Downie (presenter) who together have been successful in securing a Grant of £500 for the Shed. Well done!!!👏

In case you all forgot, the Riccarton Inn has been booked for our Christmas lunch. We decided to hold in January 2024 to give the Ricci a little boost in income at a traditionally quiet time of the year, so pencil in the 19th January at 1.30 p.m. for our lunch. (Christmas sweaters are not obligatory). Please note the amended time. Looks like a typo got in last week. Thank you to all those Shedders who have paid their deposit.

The Meeting Place's all-day Christmas Party is on this Monday the18th December and you are all welcome to pop in if free. Cake, fizzy adult juice, live music and a Santa. Our very own Jan Osinski is playing his accordion at it.

SUGGESTIONS FOR SHED ACTIVITIES IN 2024
|
Last week I floated the suggestion of more focussed activities that we could do during 2024 so that the Shed had a sufficient stock of merchandise to sell next Christmas. Ideas such as: reindeers, Sant Stop Here signs, Coasters, Yule Logs. Any other ideas are very welcome.

Jim Floyd has suggested a day on a narrow boat on the Union Canal once the wether improves. Any other suggestions are very welcome as well.
