Hi

KINDLING
Another good effort from the kindling squad will not go amiss tomorrow!!!! We can also talk about getting a 'gadget' or two to help us split the pallet wood. Unless of course, Stewart's
'half hour knock-off' does the trick!!!! Anyone got a spare machete or two???

MEN'S SHED OF THE YEAR 2023
Bill Roberts has finished checking the spelling etc. and awarded Allister a D- for his work!!!! But seriously, I have the draft and will send it to the SMSA this weekend. I intent to attach the presentation slideshow to help illustrate the good work we do in the Community. Any further advice will be gratefully received. I'll bring some copies to the Shed tomorrow for you ton read and review.

PLANTERS
John and his team were hard at work on Monday and completed some more pallet based planters, so we are gradually reducing the volume of wood in the property - not a bad thing considering the Police advised us to get rid/hide the wood in advance of Guy Fawkes night.

CCTV MAST
We have ordered the mast. To help prepare the ground for its installation, can the shedder who has the petrol strimmer come along tomorrow so we can clear some of the brush/weeds away from its location. Thank you.

FORRESTER SCHOOL AND THE YOUTH PHILANTHROPY INITIATIVE
I have received a message back from Forresters that the boys would be available on a Friday morning so I have asked if Friday 15th September would be acceptable. We have to go to the school, so a few of us can turn up and present the lads with their award.

BO'NESS AND KINNEIL RAILWAY VISIT
It's still on for 19th September, so keep you diary clear. Meet at the shed at 0930.

SETTS NEED MOVING
Stewart Still has done a great job in getting these setts for us, but, being an engineer, managed to put them in the wrong place!!!! We need a squad of nimble pixies to move them to a long-term location tomorrow.

WOOD STORE ROOF
We have now basically finished the wood store roof and guttering/rone pipe fitting. All that is required is to finish off fitting the black screw caps. There's only a handful to do, so we'll also finish the shed canopy and replace two or three that have blown away since we built the main shed roof. Many thanks to Alistair and John for their efforts. We may at some point in the future install a larch fascia on the road-facing side of the container.

TOOLS GRANT
Great news!!! Demented Allí tells us we have received a grant of £400 for the power tools we bought.

AND FINALLY
Our foreign correspondents have been sending us fantastic photos of the places they have visited. Keep them coming please. It's always food for thought for future destinations.

That's it for this week. Hope you all well and I'll see you tomorrow.

Best Regards,

Rab Mason
