Hi

Better late than never for the Shed notes this week. I had a short session with Iain Miller, our web site administrator this morning so if I have got anything wrong - blame Iain!!!

This morning Stewart Still and I finished the Scout kitchen door. It's well hung (like Stewart) and it moves easily (unlike most of us!!). We were able to re-use the original door facings, saving money and the environment.

I didn't get a chance to see what was going on outside at the shed itself, but I believe Ali 2 sheds finished the refurbishment of the bird table and Ali Skinner completed the first perch for the Friends of the Pentlands.

Young Keith Gordon made a late appearance - always good to see you Keith - and John Wilson gave me a list of labels for printing for the shed shelves.
Jan Osinsky and Jim Floyd continue their sterling work on slab laying. Lyall Downie updated me on the project register - the Barbecue had been missed, so I'll get it updated asap.

The roofing work for the wood store is being put back until August and there is a discussion needed about safety when working on the roof itself. Possible use of safety harnesses is being mooted, with a limit to the number of people on the roof at any one time. The lie of the land at the west and north sides of the container means a fall (or at least the sudden stop after the fall) may cause broken bones or worse.

And on the 'happy' note I'll sign off for this week. Keep well and I will see you all on Monday or Friday.

Best Regards,

Rab Mason
