Hi
Hello again everyone. What a week of weather, just as good as going abroad. Even Jim has managed to get good sailing weather and lots of visits to nice Nordic places.
I’ve been busy yesterday and today trying to relearn how to drive a car – the driving is very easy but the fact that you need to know what screen to use, which button to press and not use the brake any time which all takes a bit of getting used to. I went up to Harlaw today to grease the generator and do a couple more jobs, I had more in the battery when I came down than when I started so the regeneration works ok! Unfortunately I think it will get a long haul outing sooner than expected as I’ve got to go up north again for another funeral, same family too so a bit of a shock. However Tesla have taken pity on me for long haul journeys up north and provided a mobile 13A charger as well as the usual cable as I don't yet have a charger up north. Tried it out this morning when the solar was pumping out lots of KW and I had a full charge (from about 2/3 full in four hours). So if we get there we'll get back too.
Tomorrow we have an early meeting with the scouts who are installing the CCTV and no doubt they will also have views on a hedge, we go with what they wish as it is their land and they have to make it safe for their charges. The whatsapp message from Allister Mckillop suggests this could be a thorny issue for some time to come if you pardon the pun!
The metal for the roof ties has been purchased, cut to size and my son is boring and tapping them so a start has been made on the store roof, albeit small. The poles for the perches have arrived at the shed and I suggest we work on them and get them refurbished and out of our way asap.
That’s it for this week, take care everyone, and I hope to see some of you tomorrow.
Best Regards
Alister
