Hi

Another busy week in the Skinner household after an excellent weekend down at Harrogate at the Energy Live Show where lots of goodies were on show for the house and also a few electric cars to try out. Then back to the shed on Monday where Jan, Murray, Alex and myself continued with the slabbing at the corner of the store container. Other regular shed members are swanning around UK and abroad and having mixed weather from the what’s app comments! Jim is sailing around Iceland is 'his' Cruise Liner and spectacular views keep coming into the what's app from him and others.
Keith was at the shed on Momnday but went home early having received the news that he has been diagnosed with Parkinsons and is obviously having to come to terms with that now. However I spoke to him and his Brother yesterday and they were on their way to Haddington to attend a Parkinsons Cafe and Keith has already secured a date with his consultant for the not too distant future so he’s coming to terms with it all and obviously staying positive. Well done Keith and we’re with you all the way, as we are with Scott who is having a hard time just now too with the same awful disease.
The signing in and out at the shed is working well, I think I’m the only one who, so far, had to go back to sign out! Remember it is every day.
The Currie nursery which Stewart did a lot of work for is closing down. Stewart and Bill had been advised of that and Stewart has already arranged to go and collect items we (he) has made which may do for somewhere else in due course. Stewart and I are going to review the situation on Friday.
I have received a number of electronic items from a colleague at Harlaw Hydro which may be of use to the shed, Martin and I will sort them out in the near future, I also took a system of VCR and DVD recorder for transferring VHS to DVD and will try to get it working. If it all works I’ll put it into the internal cupboards at the shed for loan to whichever member may wish it to get their memoirs in order! If someone is really keen to get started on this I’ll pass on the equipment as is and they can sort it out with whatever needs doing.
That’s it for this week, don’t want to bore you (at this stage!) with all the latest measurements for fitting car chargers to the house within range of the car and cable. Stewart will give us an update on Range Rover recalls I’m sure when we meet up tomorrow.
Take care everyone, hope to see some of you tomorrow.
Best Regards
Alister
