Hi

This has been another busy week both personally and for the Shed. Two friends and I - along with Meg the Labrador - have almost completed our walk round the Fife Coastal Trail. We have just a couple of sections to go, with seven (representing 140km) behind us. I have also almost finished decorating the porch, despite several setbacks caused by poor preparation. I should know better...!

Ron Thomson and Stewart Still attended a breakfast meeting at The Dalmahoy on Tuesday, where they were presented with a £300 cheque for the Shed, from the F4B Networking Group. This is a group of self-employed people from a variety of disciplines who meet regularly to "network", and it is super that they both know about us and recognise that what we do is of value! Attached is a photo of the cheque presentation, with our two likely lads holding the cheque.

The Shed has continued to be a busy place. The new mud kitchen for Murrayburn Primary School has now been delivered and installed, courtesy of Mr McKenzie and others, and it looks great. Take a look on the website if you want to see a photo.

Kindling continues to be a money-spinner, with yet more bags having been sold this week. Some have gone to repeat customers, so we must be doing something right!

The non-tools group are still working on the Raspberry Pi computers, and are starting to think about activities for later in the year. One upcoming activity is the British Red Cross First Aid Course that I have previously mentioned, scheduled for 17 March, where up to 15 people can take part. First come, first served, I suggest!

Requests are still coming in from other groups and organisations for our help, and we really need to think about how to respond to these. It is great to stay fully involved and active, but we can't allow ourselves to get over-stretched. Most of us don't want and don't need any extra stress in our lives, and taking on too much isn't a great idea if we want to stay happy and relaxed.

Finally, may I offer our condolences to Lyall, whose brother passed away this week. Lyall, so sorry to hear that, and our thoughts are with you and your family.
Best Regards,

Iain Millar
