Hi
Hello all,
Another glorious day which I’ve spent in the garden and in the ‘moving pile’ also in the garden! The former is looking good and we had our first cucumber today to go with the salads we’ve been growing inside under led’s since we came here. The latter is getting smaller and I can now see the trailer!
Work on our Mens Shed shed continues apace and hopefully you will be able to see tomorrow how much work has been done on it already. Geoff has pretty well completed the structural refurbishment of the internals of the outside walls and windows plus some floor edging, Iain has started on the bottom air circulation vents and Alastair two sheds cleaned most of the remailing insulation of the walls and the remnants of the floor edging. Stewart has ‘moved’ the lawn to a better place for ongoing work and aesthetics and trimmed some bottom branches off the trees to give it more light. Next week we should be able to fill in the trench Stewart and I dug at the front of the shed to allow for a perforated drainage pipe to be laid (which arrived today), sand and gravel should arrive tomorrow and then Jim has volunteered to relay slabs at the front entrance in better fashion so that we don’t trip and hurt ourselves during the work. It may not be the final laying but at least they will be more even for now! Maybe I should add at this stage that he'll need help to do this!
I would also like to treat the interior walls while Geoff is away on holiday and if I can get that done next week the shed will then be out of bounds for a week or so while the treatment takes effect and we don’t get contaminated ourselves.
Tomorrow is the long awaited AGM. We will observe COVID rules and be as socially distant as we can especially as the pesky virus seems to have found many new ways of spreading, helped along by an impatient public. If any of you are uncomfortable or even self isolating because of family or other issues then please don’t come but please tell us before the meeting so that we can record your participation and wishes and thus keep as quorate as we can. The virus keeps sneaking in so we can surely be flexible too and stay responsible rather than meet an absolute number 'in person’ at the meeting.
We can also try and keep the formal meeting as short as possible and I for one will wear a mask when not talking even if sitting. That way I will say less too!

That’s it for now, hopefully I’ll see some of you tomorrow but if not make sure you send Iain an email by replying to this note and we will register your wishes as if you were there with us. Stay safe and regards to all
