Hi
Another week of warm (if you were in the sun), cold (if you could not keep out of the wind), variable (if you were on holiday!) weather but at least there are definite signs of spring being in the air now – my hay fever is progressing well along with the flowering of the oil seed rape.
I hope to be at the shed tomorrow to see what progress has been made and have a catch up, I was hoping to go along on Monday but did not feel up to par and despite testing negative for COVID decided it best to stay away. The rest of the week has been taken up being a taxi service for Mary’s appointments at doctor, hospital and clinics which all went smoothly and on time and with no bad outcomes as far as we know at this stage. Now I know what some of you have to do on a much more continuous schedule and why a get together at the shed can be a good way to shed some stress.
John tells me that he has completed sealing parts of the floor in the shed so that areas should be ready for accepting stuff in the shed to allow the rest of the floor to be treated. When it is all completed we need to arrange with Keith and Bill to collect the bench and drawer set so that they can be installed too. Maybe talk about that tomorrow. We may also have the offer of some larch fence planking, Gordon Motion asked me if we were interested as a neighbour is taking a fence down and putting up a bigger one and a lot of the old planking is still good. I’ve said in principle yes as we need some to make gates and fences for around the shed and school yet. I also need to get permission to go back to Currie primary and measure up for the gate and put the number plates and lights on the bus as Alistair had made an excellent job of painting it before he went off on holiday.
Gardening is taking over a lot of time with me now, as I suspect it is with many of you, Keith will be keeping a watchful eye over the Currie Gardens as he does his daily walks so we better get up to scratch with the grass cutting and weeding!. Great to hear Keith that you are getting out and about and becoming more mobile by the day.
That’s it for this week, hope to see some of you tomorrow, but, as usual, for various reasons all can not be present so enjoy your break/get clear of Covid/help your partner to get well and stay safe yourself so that you are able to come to the shed when it suits.
Best regards
