Hi
My second Friday up North heralded in the dreaded north sea haar but we managed to get a few sunny periods so the mammoth work of sorting out two years of neglect continues together with a few trips around watching the spring come in with lush green fields, lambs and trees full of blosson. All in all the weather has been great.
John has reported to me that he, Stewart and Alistair finished the floor covering in the shed and Alistair, according to Whats App also painted the Currie Primary Playbus, it looks really smart and I’ll try and get the number plates and lights on soon to finish it all off. Maybe with the help of Hugh's New toolkit!!
Hugh has also confirmed that we have been successful in obtaining a millenium tree, arriving in November so that will be another milestone for the shed, maybe get Stewart to paint his spade silver for the occasion!
I believe tomorrow is going to be a chat and tidy up day so I hope the weather stays fair for that. Some of the nice warm weather Jim is having in Oz needs to be brought back in his suitcase. It was great to see some aspects of the Aussie Men’s Shed too Jim, many thanks.
I have a load, (or two) to the recycling centre tomorrow and that should finish up here for the moment. I treated the grass yesterday so have the excuse not to cut it this time round. I also relaid a set of (steep) steps in our wild garden area across from the front of the house and that used up all of the decorative brick that came out of the fireplace removal in the living room. If I remember I’ll take a photo, no cement used and all original slabs relaid!
That’s it for now, hope all are well and enjoying a little more freedom. Life in the village is still very much masked up in shops and halls even though there are lots of holidaymakers about.
Cheers for now, Regards to all
Alister
