Hi

I know I said that there was going to be no more shed notes this year but could not resist giving you a quick update on the work that the elves have been doing pre and post Christmas at the shed and the Scout Hall.
Firstly congratulations to Jack on his eye op, hope all continues to go well and remember Jack that the eye drops are for the eye and the Glenmorangie is for the mouth! Commiserations however on the delay to Keith’s knee op due to COVID, this virus just keeps on hitting us when we least expect it.
John completed all of the Shed Ceiling lining, he and Stewart completed all of the insulation and he and myself fitted the new door. Door not completed yet as we need a striking plate mechanism for the door jamb and Four Seasons are not open again until January. I’ve lined up a concrete mixer to allow us to form a step on the outside in due course, that’s the mechanical item, not the people to fill it and empty it!
Meanwhile inside the Scout Hall the conference room is in the middle of a makeover. The ceiling has been re-plasterboarded with Scout Help and Graham, Stewart and Alistair have been stripping walls, plastering and papering and sanding and finishing the door. All work in progress.
Lyall has completed and submitted our OSCAR report which has been accepted by the charity so thanks to Lyall for executing all of that and to Robert Whitton, our independent examiner.
Finally I’ll end for this year by reminding you that the next shed meeting will be in January, at a date to be agreed between ourselves and COVID.
Iain has said that the Zoom will be open tomorrow at 10 as per his email. I'm not sure whether I'll manage or not so have a Good New Year when it comes and all the best for 2022 to you and yours.
Regards to all
Alister
