Hi
Earlier than usual this week to alert you all to the fact that there will be no ‘at shed’ meeting on Friday (tomorrow) given the new COVID guidelines and a sincere wish that everyone manages to have a better Christmas break than last year. Iain has suggested some may wish to join a Zoom meeting and details of how to log in to the zoom meeting are at the bottom of this newsletter and usual time of ten o’clock should work.
I may try and get into the zoom, currently up at our cottage in Portmahomack having had a superb traffic free run up the A9 yesterday, some rain and mist but things brightened as I went north! Today I’ve just finished putting the covers on my boat for the winter, have given up the possibility of putting it in the boat shed until next year.
Lyall has completed our OSCAR report which some of you saw the draft of, last week, Currently it is going the rounds of chair, secretary and treasurer for signatures and then will be ready to submit. Thanks again Lyall for keeping us up to date with this.
Our Insurance is now in force, that’s now an ongoing cost year on year so it will be worth thinking on having one project per year which will generate enough income to cover this cost similar to the christmas trees this year which look as though they will almost cover the cost this time round.
The rest of the materials for insulation and lining of the shed has been delivered along with plasterboard for the scouts meeting room ceiling. The rhones are completed, and all the ceiling sheets except for the centre overlap are on and John has started on the final securing of them.
Finally I’ll end for this week by reminding you that the next shed meeting will be in January, at a date to be agreed between ourselves and COVID and I will send a shed note advising that when we agree a date in January. Have a Happy and safe Christmas and all the best for the coming New Year.
Regards to all
