Hi

Shed Notes
Into December and John and Rab have got the Nativity Scene at Colinton Church erected so christmas must definitely be coming.
John and myself had a session insulating the roof of the shed on Monday and Jim and myself finished it yesterday so that’s all ready for the plywood to go on, possibly next week if we have a crew as I’d like to get all the materials we have on site installed so that we can work out how much more we require and get it ordered and delivered before christmas as the merchants will be shutting down until into January. That’s assuming they still have supplies but we have been lucky so far both on deliveries and prices. Bill has delivered adjustable poles for holding up sheets to the roof trusses until they are fixed which will make that job a lot easier. For that job I think we will need three persons, possibly four so we will need to be covid aware when doing this but it is quite airy with all the windows open. We managed to cut all the insulation outside and hopefully there will be minimum cutting on the plywood.
Allister has managed to get some of the stock of christmas trees away on Monday, for cash of course, there are still more available so I hope we have not over manufactured as space is at a premium and they won’t go down well in a January sale!!
I don’t propose doing any constructive work on the shed tomorrow because there is still a lot of tidying up to do and I would like to collect the rest of the aluminium scrap (I did some on Monday) so that I can take it to Daltons next week. There is also now four bags of offcuts to be burnt or they will have to be stored outside the shed but if we do that they will get wet and not burn easily.
Finally I’ll end for this week by reminding you all about the increasing potential for further Covid Spread, Please if you come and go in the hall use the hand sanitiser provided on entry the first time, sign the register and wear a mask if you are moving around the inside areas. I would hate for a potential Christmas free of last year's restrictions to be spoilt by us.
Regards to all
