Please note that if you use a mask, it remains your responsibility for its upkeep and eventual disposal. Don't put used ones back in the shed.

January 23rd sees shed members attending lunch at Balerno's Dhaba36. Colin, John, Alex, Jack, Dave, Brian, Russell, Robert, Lyall, Stewart, Murray, Ali 2 sheds, Clive and Ali Mac are attending, so there are no places left

BRITISH RED CROSS VISIT TO SHED

January 23rd also sees the BRC attending there shed to demonstrate basic First Aid techniques to members.

Ali Skinner has received the new Draper 60988 wood lathe having used the grant funds form the Rotary Club. Only shedders signed off as competent will be able to use it, so get your name down asap. He's bringing along a manual as well!!

Ali Skinner and Mike Didcock are the only shedders cleared to use the lathe until further notice.

SWEATSHIRTS AND HI-VIZ WAISTCOATS
|
Shedders who go to third party venues will be provided with a free sweatshirt and hi-viz waistcoat. We have 25 of each that will have the Shed name and logo on them. Names and sizes please. The trustees will decide on the colours...

Finally, some really excellent news... Russell Smith, our resident fisherman, works for British Gas and let it be known they awarded grant money to worthy causes. So we applied for £5000 and believe it or not, we received £3000. The money will be put to good use in buying the consumables that we go through all the time: screws, nuts and bolts, saw belts, sanding abrasives, PPE, stuff like that. On behalf of the Shed, I'd like to thank both Ali Skinner and Russell Smith for their efforts.
