Hi

Spring is definitely in the air this week, and the smell of wild garlic abounds. I had a cycle along the Water of Leith and up through Balerno and along past Clubbiedean Reservoir yesterday and the scenery and weather was outstanding. There were even swimmers in Threipmuir reservoir yesterday🥶

Another opportunity to get more involved in the Shed --- SECRETARY
Iain has previously mentioned that he plans to stand down as Secretary of the Shed at our next AGM (due in September). We therefore need someone to take on the role of Shed Secretary. This mainly consists of dealing with email correspondence, which isn't a huge burden. Other minor activities also include arranging the AGM, and (unless anyone else wants to get involved), arranging the Shed's insurance. You don't need to be a long-serving Shedder to do the job, so please have a chat with Iain if you would be prepared to consider the position and to find out more. Iain has previously said he would be happy to manage the website and help with anything technical, so you don't need to get involved in that side of things unless you want to.

LITTER PICKING STATION
Work continues with the litter picking stations. The local schools/nurseries will paint them once they are built, then return them to us for final fitting of tongs, catches, etc.

SCOUT WHITEBOARD
Grant has said the whiteboard is ready for fitting, so hopefully we will get that done for him this week.

BREAKFAST BBQ
The date for our first 2025 breakfast BBQ is 18th April, and if the weather is bad, it will be on the 25th.

ST CUTHBERTS CHURCH SIGN BOARD.
The Rev. Nicki is waiting on word regarding the delivery of the sign which will go on the board, so fabrication can't really start until she's got that. I also noticed that the Easter Crosses have been erected by John and Jan. Thank you very much, chaps.

And Stewart.... We know you like hospital food.... Enjoy your stay at the Western 🍗🍔. You've obviously had all the nurses at the ERI, but please leave some of the nurses for the rest of us. We'll see you when you're better. Forget about the jobs you are juggling in your workshop. Concentrate on getting better. (That's an order😇).

Keep safe and healthy, see you all tomorrow.
Best Regards,

Iain Millar
