Balerno Farmer's Market date is Saturday 13th December. We'll need to be there for around 0830 to get things set up. I'll have more details nearer the time.

The Currie Community Centre Christmas fair is being held on Saturday 30th November. I imagine we will need to provide our own table/stall, just like we did last year. An extension cable would also be a good idea. Once again, when I know more, I'll let you all know.

Do we think having an Open day is a good idea?? We can publicise in the local press (now that we have Nigel as secretary!!!). Or is everyone happy enough just to go on the way we are and let membership increase by word of mouth??

BAYNES FAMILY BAKERS - DONATION

We are going to receive a donation form Baynes, the Family Bakers again this year. Lyall has been in contact with them to organise bank details. I'm sure Lyall will let everyone know the amount when we receive it (or maybe he'll just stay in Cyprus....😊).

I received the band saw blade and I'll bring it to the shed tomorrow.

Alex is arranging a FREE First Aid workshop to be held at the Shed in the near(ish) future. It lasts about 90 minutes and is run by the British Red Cross. The date isn't finalised yet, but once again, once WE know, we'll let YOU know!!!!

Two years ago, Currie and Balerno Rotary hosted a lively Oktoberfest at the Rugby Club, a fantastic evening enjoyed by everyone who came along.
|
This year, we’re back with a brand-new event: Casino Night! Join us at the Rugby Club on Thursday, 17th October at 7pm for an evening of fun, games, and entertainment, all while raising money for a great cause.

£20 entry includes a bag of chips to play at the roulette, blackjack, and craps tables.

At the end of the night, your winning chips will be exchanged for raffle tickets, giving you the chance to win fantastic tombola prizes.

A silent auction will also run throughout the evening, featuring exciting items such as a signed Hearts top, a weekend break in North Berwick, and other special treats.

A fully stocked bar will be open all night.

Proceeds from the evening will go directly to the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (Sick Kids), Edinburgh and to Currie and Balerno Rotary chosen local charities and good causes.
