SCOUTS' WORK REQUIREMENTS
As per last Saturday's Shedders Notes, the Scouts have asked us to take a shaving off the bottom of the main hall entry doors. One of them is rubbing on the floor and it won't be long before it rips the surface. This needs done sooner rather than later.
Another request is to replace some of the self tapping screws on their outside container. It looks like the heat of summer ☀️and subsequent cooling 💨 has made the plastic sheets expand and contract, loosening the screws. They suggested we perhaps shave a millimetre or two off the edges so that each sheet can move without warping. I'm no expert and I'm open to suggestions.
They would also like a cage built around their air conditioning unit situated out at the hall back door. It could be vulnerable to the unwanted guests who seem to be making a nuisance of themselves these past few weeks.
Lyall has been updating us on the Police's efforts to charge the culprits and it looks like 2 youths may be having their collars felt.
We really need to concentrate on the Litter Picking Station once we have got the Scouts' projects completed. Ali Skinner also mentioned that he would start work on the metal side gate at the far end of the hall as well as building a cage for the air con unit. Welding will be involved so he has asked for volunteers.
Today the notes are late because I have just completed a 18 hour shift accompanying my step-son on his delivery driver job. (I had a notion of doing one day a week but after today - not a chance!!! It's a young man's job!!).

Keep well everyone and I hope to see you tomorrow morning. I am on holiday at Cove (near Torness Power Station) from tomorrow afternoon until Tuesday so I'll see you all again next Friday if we don't see each other tomorrow.
