Hi

Evening all

BALERNO SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP
We started the first phase of clearing the space at the chessboard area last Friday and we will continue this work tomorrow. Jim Floyd kindly donated three hand forks that we will hand over to the school. If anyone else is going tomorrow, we meet at the school reception 10am sharp. Any strong bags (and I'm not talking about wives or partners here) for rubbish, gratefully received at the shed. Any other garden tool donations gratefully received.

PENTLANDS MEDICAL CENTRE
The staff at the Centre kindly donated £403 to the shed on Monday. I attended a physiotherapy session there today and handed in a Thank You note at reception. I also attach a photo of Stewart Still with his hand on one of the ladies' backside, along with John, Alister and Ali 2 sheds.

DEFRIBRILLATOR
The defibrillator is now hanging up in the shed.

SHED TRIPS AND OUTINGS
  1. Alex has again booked us couple of narrow boats for a leisurely trip along the Union Canal on Friday 10th April 10.30 to 3.30 pm. We have both boats from the Seagull Trust, so we can have a fancy dress competition - one boat will be crewed by Pirates🏴‍☠️, and the other by Royal Navy seamen🎌🇯🇪 (hope I got the spelling correct). Lunch is not provided on this trip so bring your own packed lunch. The cost is £10 a head, not ahoy, and you can book with Alex.
  2. A separate second trip is scheduled for Friday 17th July starting out from Falkirk, at the Forth and Clyde canal. We will travel on the Falkirk Wheel. More details will follow nearer the time, but mark them both in your diaries. This trip is probably not a good idea for those of you scared of heights!!!
  3. Alex has also been busy on the food side of things - a lunch at Tanners on the Lanark Road Juniper Green on Friday 20th March. They advertise a 2 course lunch for £15. Alex needs a non-returnable deposit of £10 asap.
WOOD LATHE
It's acting up a bit, so we cannot use it till further notice. Ali Skinner is dealing with it.

BIRD BOXES FOR BEAVER SCOUTS
We need to ensure we have completed the pre-build for these bird boxes so we can get the Scouts to check they can assemble them easily.

VINTAGE CAR MAGAZINES
As I was writing these notes I received an email from a local resident who has about 70 editions of Vintage Car Magazines. Anyone interested???? If so I'll get him to drop them off at the shed.

WEATHER OUTLOOK
It's not a great forecast for tomorrow, so it's a good opportunity to have some games on the go in the hall.

That's about it for this week folks, so stay safe and warm.

See you all tomorrow.
