He is making progress. But he's not out of the woods just yet. His leg has an infection that the hospital photographer wanted to use as an example of something or other to show to students!! He arrived just after I got there on Monday afternoon. Stewart has lost a bit of weight but he is still mentally OK. He really appreciated the food parcels I took him, and was looking forward to more from Ali 2 sheds on Tuesday. He refused the Monday evening meal supplied by the hospital. He also appreciated all the news about the shed but was sad that he would not make the Christmas lunch.

Kindling is selling fast. If Facebook marketplace is telling the truth, then at least 10 bags will sell tomorrow.

If you haven't already signed up for the lunch at the Riccarton Inn, you'd better do so quickly, because it'll soon be here!!!! It's on Friday the 13th. Alex Cox is our man for that.

SCOTT LAWRENCE FROM SKANSKA UK LTD
|
Scott phoned me last week and followed up with an email on Tuesday, and apologised for not getting to the shed more often than he would have liked. He has been rammed with work. Things are now not so hectic and I have arranged for him to visit us on Friday December 13th (he knows it's our Christmas lunch day). He's keen to get his men to do some volunteer work. (they are also keen to help us), and John has suggested the St Cuthbert's Church Notice Board revamp for starters. So any other work we need help with, let me know and we'll ask for help from Scott. (I've left this item in from last week so people can have a think on what we can get the Skanska volunteers to do!!!).

The trustees are convening tomorrow to discuss the HSE stuff. We'll let you know the outcome.

We are donating a couple of saws the the Livingston shedders. They may be able to do something with them, otherwise they will go to scrap. We are going to buy a brand new one - probably a Bosch GTS 10J with a Bosch GTA600 stand, all for the price of £562.48 (a saving of about £100).

CURRIE COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS FAYRE
|
The Fayre took place on Sunday. The shed had a really successful day bringing in about £140 all told.
|
I'll be at the shed tomorrow as the plumber finally fixed the central heating system. It was sludged up!!! We now have a cosy home!!! Just in time for Christmas.
