Hi

Evening all
Busy day tomorrow at the Shed. Lads from Forrester's visiting us, and then a photoshoot at St Cuthbert's Church in Colinton with Skanska UK and the guys who made the new Church sign.

CHRISTMAS WORK UP
I'm leaving this topic in for the next few weeks so we don't forget about it - Now is the time to start thinking about what we can and can't do for Christmas. Ali 2 Sheds' wee Santa snowmen were popular last year, and they are easy to make. Wheelbarrows, Christmas Stars and trees etc., are all doable.
I have managed to persuade Debbie (She who must be obeyed) to make about a dozen macrame shelves for us to sell at Christmas and I've attached a couple of photos of her efforts. I would like to use half-decent wood for the shelves, rather than MDF or chipboard. The shelves are generally around 40cms long and 15 cms wide and 1cm thick, approximately. If we have any wood like that, can you set it aside so I can prep it for her. She is also happy to make macrame flower pot holders too. We might even have some home designed cushions to sell as well.

I've messaged the Facebook page of the Balerno Farmers' Market but have yet to receive a reply about getting a couple of free slots in the run-up to Christmas.

LITTER PICKING STATIONS
The Police duly collected the 2 complete LPSs. I've attached a picture of one of them up at Harlaw reservoir.

ST CUTHBERTS CHURCH SIGN
We are having a photo-shoot with the people who made the sign tomorrow at 1230, after the Shed activities. It's mainly for Skanska UK's benefit so they can include the project in their company magazine.

AGM
A quick reminder that the Shed AGM is being held on Friday 26th September, directly after the normal activities. If you have any topics for the agenda, please let one of the trustees know.

VISIT FROM FORRESTERS HIGH SCHOOL
Students from Forrester's are visiting tomorrow, for definite....between 10 and 1030. That means best behaviour everyone, especially Alex.

CHUTNEY JARS
If anyone has spare empty jam or honey jars, please bring them to the shed tomorrow. Russell can use them for his chutneys.
