Hi

Evening all

ST CUTHBERT'S CHURCH AND NINE LESSONS
I contacted Nicki and I've agreed to volunteer for a reading. I'll let you know how it goes. It's on the 21st December.

SHED CHRISTMAS LUNCH FRIDAY 5TH DECEMBER
Bill and Keith are the 2 people still to pay their deposit and choose their meal. All other places are now taken up. We'll have the full table of 25 on the day. The shed will subsidise the meal at £10 a head because it's a social event. The menu is set out at the end of the Notes. I'll be handing in the order either tomorrow or Monday so the Ricci can have enough beef for everyone🐂🦬
Jan has also suggested holding a Musical Quiz next Friday morning because we won't be doing a lot of outdoor activities as we will be in our best gear, So there may be competition between the archers and the musicians in the hall!!!

CHRISTMAS MARKET/FAIR
On Monday we asked the ladies from the Meeting place to give opinions on how much to charge for our merch, so we are now well prepared (or as prepared as we can be) for Sunday's event. There is no parking at the hall, so those of us attending at the start, need to be there at 0900 to set up the stall. There will be no electricity supplied to individual stalls, so the power bank needs to be well 'juiced up'. It starts at 1000 hrs and finishes at 1600hrs. Tables and chairs WILL be supplied (unlike last year). At close of play tomorrow, those attending the fair will load up their cars with the items for sale and then drive straight to the Community Centre and offload.

BALERNO SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP
Following on from the successful meeting at the school with the teachers and students, they are visiting the Shed tomorrow, just after 1000hrs. So everyone on their best behaviour please!!! (That includes you Stewart😇).

SCOUT HALL BENCH LOCKS
Ali Skinner has repaired the locks and they are all working now.

UNWASHED DISHES IN KITCHEN
We were at the Shed on Wednesday and noticed there were unwashed dishes in the kitchen. John being John, eventually decided to wash them up; but on a more serious note, let's all be vigilant and ensure we don't leave any dirty dishes after we leave. John took photos of the evidence in case there is a Scout enquiry😁.

SMSA- GRANT SOURCES
The SMSA have released a list of grant funding sources for all Sheds to consider. Here's the link - Shedloads of Opportunities It's a database of organisations with resources to issue grants. This is in addition to Russell's kind offer about British Gas's funding resource, which I believe Ali Skinner will be chatting to Russell about.

SCOUT HALL BATTERY CAGE AND GATE LOCK
We won't be working on them until the weather is a bit warmer.

SKANSKA UK
Scott Lawrence phoned me on Monday afternoon, asking how things were, so I filled him in on what we've been up to. He's still keen to receive the 2 bird boxes we had previously spoken about, so Jonathan, if you have a couple spare??......🦉🦅

TIP RUN
I have removed the rubbish from the patio area and it's now in the care of Edinburgh Council's Sighthill Recycling Centre.

That's about it for this week folks, so stay safe and warm.

See you all tomorrow.
