Hi

Evening all

Elaine Edwards from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission may visit tomorrow or Monday to ask if we can cut a bit of wood she is bringing along, on the bandsaw. I understand the job does not require a lot of skill so I said that would be OK 😀 She is their Public Engagement Coordinator.

PINE WARDROBE - Anyone interested
Eileen Kennedy lives in Currie and has a pine wardrobe she is getting rid of. Rather than let it go to the tip, she has offered it to us. If anyone wants it, please let me know asap. I've attached images of it below. She says it's in really good condition.

EYEMOUTH FISHING TRIP - ARRANGEMENTS
The confirmed date is THURSDAY 13TH August. The boat is called the SAGITTARIUS. It leaves sharp at 0900hrs and returns 6 hours later. You will need weather-appropriate clothing (preferably waterproofs), a sun hat in case it's good weather, motion sickness pills - take them when you leave home - packed lunch if you feel like eating; a WATERPROOF carrier bag to take all the fish you will catch home with you. There is free parking at the Fishermen's Union at the harbour entrance (I presume that's the land-side entrance). The maximum number of fishermen on the boat is 13, so please let me know if you are coming. All the fishing equipment you will need is supplied. Russell will also provide lures and weights.
56 miles from Currie, will take approx 1hour 15 minutes, time your arrival for 08:45 at the latest.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
We need 4 fire extinguishers. The CO2 ones are OK for electrical fires but not much use for anything else. Foam extinguishers are most suitable for the materials we have on site.
Now been purchased and Rab has dropped them off at the Shed whilst I was preparing the notes.

AND FINALLY
The weather forecast is not too great for tomorrow.
Rab and John are off on holiday tomorrow, not together.
Friday 31 July, some of us are going for lunch at the Dhuba in Balerno, 12:45 remember to take cash. No doubt some of us will have after dinner drinks at a nearby hostelry.

That's about it for this week folks, stay safe.

See you all tomorrow.
