I received the third quote from a timber supply company and I've sent it on to Lyall. It was far more expensive than the Thornbridge one.

I intend to present grant givers with photos of the finished project, along with these quotations to see if we can get a grant towards the cost of the cladding.

Alex, our resident comedian🤩🥳🤬??? and entertainment manager has arranged a Shed Lunch at Dhaba36 in BALERNO. For those of you who don't know, it's an Indian Restaurant and it serves lovely, delicious food. Numbers are increasing exponentially so reserve your place asap by letting Alex know. I have also heard good reports about their recently launched Breakfast service.

BENCH LOCKS IN SCOUT HALL

Ali Skinner has completed the making of several replacement 'keeps' for the Scout benches. We hope to fit them tomorrow.

Heriot Watt University campus are holding THE LOTHIANS MODEL RAILWAY EXHIBITION on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th April from 10am - 4:30pm. I've asked Alex to organise a trip there when he gets back from his holidays. Should be a grand day out!!!!!

Jim Floyd has had an excellent idea of using good donated tools to make up a Homecare Kit we can give to local residents who don't have such things as even a hammer or screwdriver. What I think would be a good idea is to rather than throw away the tools we receive from garage/workshop clearances, we keep the best bits and use them for the kit. I certainly know people who don't have the simplest of tools in their house and are at a complete loss when a quick repair is needed. Even hammering in a picture hook can cause them issues!!! What do you guys think????
