Hi

Evening all

BALERNO SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP
We'll be at the school tomorrow. The bench is half repainted and I've made 3 planters which I'll take to the school tomorrow. They can decide on the colour. I've left a few screws missing so the students can have a go at fixing some of the planks.

PERGOLAS
The first pergola is built!! Martin and John deserve all the plaudits and congratulations for a job well done. The build went really smoothly with only one very small glitch which was solved with a short coffee break. You'll see for yourselves how good it's looking. I'd also like to thank Murray for his support as well. All that needs to be done to finish it off is installing the ground anchors.

ST CUTHBERTS CHURCH TOTEM POLE
John and Jan have installed the pole in St Cuthbert's Church, Colinton.

HARLAW LAND REMEDIATION PROJECT
Stewart and Ali 2 sheds have been busy making bee hotels for Cathy Michie. We didn't know too much about her, but Stewart, being the man he is, has found out that she has a lot to do with the Harlaw Land remediation Project. Land along Harlaw Road Balerno, opposite No. 24, at the red telephone box, has been cleared and remediated, and a meadow is planned for it. That's what the bee hotels are for. They are not needed till the Autumn, but I'm sure we'll get them Cathy before then. It's along term project which will last at least another five years.

MALLENY GARDEN FAYRE
Not long till the fayre....If we have some items to put on display, or even sell, that would be good. I would like to have some volunteers to man the stalll, probably on a rota basis if shedders think that's a good idea. We can discuss tomorrow...
