It's all gone quiet on the filming front... no contact from the BEEB. We'll just wait and see what happens...

PENTLANDS MEN'S SHED ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2026
It's being held in the Scout Hall on Friday, 9th October at 1100hrs. Agenda items gratefully accepted. Please give them to Nigel.
Monique has come up with some interesting ideas for the next stage in their programme. She's talking about a sensory path, a coloured ribbon outdoor curtain and a balance beam using their current wooden bridge. Their preferred meeting day would be a Monday between 1000 and 1115 and they have S2 and S3 pupils who would participate.
We have also received an invitation to their CHARITIES FAIR as part of the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative (YPI), supported by The Wood Foundation (similar to the Forrester's HS fair). It's on the Thursday 29th October 0900 to 1230 so they are giving us plenty of time to prepare. But, as we are already in 'partnership' with them doing their unused spaces work, is it worth the effort promoting ourselves at this one, bearing in mind we turned down the invitation to this year's fair at Forrester's? Your thoughts would be appreciated tomorrow.

It's only 4 months till Christmas and organisations are starting to gear up for it already.

PROJECTS FOR CHRISTMAS MARKET.
I've got a couple of ideas for making pencil cases and bird feeders (not boxes). I'll try and remember to bring them tomorrow.
Iain Millar has also suggested we make the wee houses that can be made out of small blocks of wood. We need a competent painter and decorator to finish them off. I wonder who we could ask...
We also have the lighthouses too.
Any chance of a group of volunteers to make a production line for painting these items??? we can discuss tomorrow.
We cannot accept any more wood donations. We simply have no room to store it, and Guy Fawkes night is not all that far away either, so we need to be mindful of that as well.
A wee while back they asked us about giant Jenga and other stuff.... If I remember correctly Ali Skinner was in conversation with them. Can someone remind me tomorrow to ask about it.
Please, please, please remember to tidy up after you and put all tools back to where you got them from.
That's about it for this week folks, stay safe.
