Hi

Evening all

SHED INSURANCE
The insurance is due for renewal at the start of December and we are in the process of gathering quotes. Various questions need to be answered for the different brokers to provide quotes, for example, what safeguards do we have in place for hot work, welding, using a blow torch, stuff like that.

BAYNES FAMILY BAKERY CHARITY DONATION
Happy to report that Baynes donated £260 to the shed funds. Lyall wrote to thank them.

FIRST AID WORKSHOP
The First Aid Workshop date is the FRIDAY 23rd January at 1030 a.m. It is scheduled to last about 1 and a half hours. As the event approaches, Alex will ask for confirmation of attendance from Shedders.

SHED CHRISTMAS LUNCH
Alex is also arranging the annual Shed Christmas lunch, being held at the Riccarton inn again this year. It's being held on Friday 5th December, after the Shed finishes. There's a non-refundable £10 deposit required and the maximum number of lunchers is limited to 25. At time of writing there are 5 places left.

CHRISTMAS
After my serious cock-up of mixing dates of the Balerno Farmers Market, we are definitely booked for the Currie Community Centre Fayre on Sunday 30th November.
In addition, and subject to your approval, there's a chance we may be able to sneak a stall at St Cuthbert's Church Craft Fair on Saturday 29th November. It's the day before and runs from 2pm to 5pm. If we do get the opportunity, we need volunteers for both days. Or do we just stick to doing 1 venue; Currie CC Fayre on the Sunday. Let's talk about it tomorrow at coffee time. Jonathan Davey has been our contact for the St Cuthbert's "job".

BALERNO SCHOOL "PARTNERSHIP"
The ball is in the school's court now and we are waiting on them to offer a date when we can visit. They want us to engage with some students who "have lost their way academically" and might benefit from our worldly experience and practical skills. There are at least 3 outside areas in the school that might be suitable for us to work on.
There is no safeguarding requirement as a teacher will be present at all times, so Stewart, you're cleared to attend❤️😊

SCOUT HALL SOLAR PANELS
The start date for the build is 19th November.

FORRESTERS SCHOOL PROJECT
FYI, the boys presented their project to teachers and pupils but weren't successful in going forward, so we won't be seeing them again.

GUY FAWKES NIGHT
Touch wood (pardon the pun) we have had no issues this year. CCTV has been working OK and no intruders.

See you all tomorrow.
