Hi

Evening all

ST CUTHBERT'S CHURCH AND NINE LESSONS
I have received my reading.

SHED CHRISTMAS LUNCH FRIDAY 5TH DECEMBER
Only one sleep to go to the Shed highlight of the year!!!
24 of us will make the arduous trek to the Riccarton Inn to consume their delicious Christmas Lunch. A few hardy souls will then persevere in tasting the Inn's alcoholic beverages at our reserved table. I'm off to Essex on Saturday morning so I definitely won't be joining in that bit!!! The Shed is also contributing £10 a head to the meal, but remember and bring cash and loose change: it makes it much easier to work out each person's meal cost.

CHRISTMAS MARKET/FAIR
Building on the success of the Currie Community Centre's Christmas Fayre, we have reserved a table at Balerno's Christmas fair as well. It's on Saturday 13th December from 0900 to 1300. We need to be there for 0800 to set up. Volunteers required!!!! We will be able to get our cars up to the hall, then park them elsewhere once we have unloaded them.

BALERNO SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP
Monique McIntosh has responded re: paperwork required by shedders volunteering at the school. I quote:
" What I need is for you to send me the email addresses of any of the men that would like to come in and help. They will then be sent a couple of documents to complete from a staff member in the school. You will need a couple of references but you can just use each other for this and it only needs to be a couple of sentences - nothing much.
The Business Manager will also send information for a PVG to be completed which should also be quite straight forwarded. We can start working with you even if this part of the process hasn't been completed yet though.
I have also checked and you will be covered by the school insurance."
Therefore I need a list of volunteers' email addresses.

SKANSKA UK
Hopefully Jonathan will have completed a couple of bird boxes for Scott. He is hoping to pop in next week, but this is one of their busiest times of the year so I won't hold my breath...

WOOD FOR SHED
Paul from Breck's is going to drop off some wood tomorrow. I have told him about our lunch and that we will be gone from 1230, so I expect he will be at the shed before then. I don't know if it's pallets or offcuts, but I mentioned we did not want the ones used for slates.

That's about it for this week folks, so stay safe and warm.

See you all tomorrow.
