Hi

Evening all

BALERNO HIGH SCHOOL
Nigel has done a spot of weeding to keep the chess board area looking tidy.

PLANKS
Stewart has several planks to be brought to the shed and has enlisted some shedders to help him.

SHEDDERS LUNCH AT DHABA36 BALERNO
Alex has arranged lunch tomorrow at 1300hrs. latest numbers are 7.

EYEMOUTH FISHING TRIP - ARRANGEMENTS
The confirmed date is THURSDAY 13TH August. The boat is called the SAGITTARIUS. It leaves sharp at 0900hrs and returns 6 hours later. You will need weather-appropriate clothing (preferably waterproofs), a sun hat in case it's good weather, motion sickness pills - take them when you leave home - packed lunch if you feel like eating; the boat provides hot water so you can bring tea or coffee or whatever; a WATERPROOF carrier bag to take all the fish you will catch home with you. There is free parking at the Fishermen's Union at the harbour entrance (I presume that's the land-side entrance). The maximum number of fishermen on the boat is 13. All the fishing equipment you will need is supplied. Russell will also provide lures and weights.
It's 56 miles from Currie, will take approx 1hour 15 minutes by car, so time your arrival for 08:45 at the latest. Fishermen/women don't have to be shed members to come along. So far we have provisionally 7 - Lyall and his son, Davy, Russell and two others, me. We would like to get to 10.
The cost of the boat charter is £500 split between shedders so the more we have the cheaper it becomes.
Can you PLEASE message me direct if you are coming.

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
Fire extinguishers are now in the portacabin. I ordered 5. Two will need to go in beside the wood lathe. Others can be deployed to suit.

AND FINALLY
I'm off to Skye tomorrow, for a week's holiday (it's really just to get away from Alex😁). Seemingly we can charter a boat from Dunvegan and with a bit of luck, white tailed eagles will visit us and take fish from us - I assume we'll have to throw it!!!! - but I'll let you know next time I'm back at the shed.

That's about it for this week folks, stay safe.
