Evening all, back in the saddle once again so to speak.
He's reached a plateau in his recovery journey, so his family have asked that some shedders who are closest to him, might want to visit him and cheer him up. He's been in hospital for over 11 weeks, and I've no doubt he's running out of nurses to wind up😛. Jack's wife Ann (Stewart used to 'chat her up' at coffee time on a Monday) is going to visit him tomorrow afternoon, so we'll keep our fingers crossed she survives and lets us know how he's doing. Other shedders will visit Stewart next week, all being well. We can create a rota and amend it to suit.

I have received a text from our friends at Brecks asking if we want to start receiving pallets once again. I said I would let them know tomorrow after our shed meeting.

SCOUTS AIR CONDITIONING UNIT
Alister Skinner has now finished the welding/construction of the cage to protect the unit. Painting it will have to wait until the weather improves. Well done Ali😇

STEEL CONTAINER/ WOODSTORE AND WORKSHOP
Progress is steady getting all the required power points and lights fitted up. Jim has shaved a few millimetres off the door so it now closes perfectly. John made a bracket on the steel container door to hold a set of ladders. Jan is building a gate between the container and the modular building that we can't call a portacabin any more.

If you haven't already signed up for the lunch at the Riccarton Inn, you'd better do so quickly, because it'll soon be here!!!! It's on Friday the 13th.
Might be time to get rid of some more scrap as the bins were starting to fill up. But please note that we will no longer accept drinks cans as we don't get any real value from them.
Not much to write about this week, but I would imagine it'll be maximum effort for kindling for the next few weeks if this cold period keeps up.
Keep warm in the meantime
