TOOL HEALTH AND SAFETY - INSPECTION BEFORE AND AFTER USE.

The circular saw has had to have its blade replaced because a few teeth were missing. Could shedders therefore inspect the tools they are using before and after use to ensure efficient and safe operation. If something needs replacing that's more that just a simple swap in and out job, leave it on the bench in the shed with a piece of paper on it saying 'Do Not Use' - Blade/Belt/Whatever required.

BALERNO SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP

There seems to be a disconnect between the Shed's expectation of access to the school and the form filling exercise that needs to be done. With that in mind Nigel and I are meeting the appropriate school teachers at Balerno Community High School tomorrow at 10 o'clock to hopefully, iron things out. We'll keep you posted on progress.

SMSA CALL FOR SHED STORIES
|
The SMSA are looking for Sheds to offer their magazine stories about what we get up to at the Shed. They are a formal voice for all the Scottish Sheds and have the ear of Parliament so I wondered if there were any specific stories you guys would like to have published. Things like the progress we have made over the past couple of years, our trips and outings, the crypt, our relationship with Skanska UK, the Scouts, our local projects with the nurseries and schools, stuff like that. If you think it's a good idea, let us know tomorrow at coffee time where we can discuss.
