Hi

Evening all

CHRISTMAS WORK UP
The above image is John's Christmas forest, which we will sell at the Balerno Christmas Market, and hopefully, at the Currie Community Centre Craft fair.

[I'm leaving this topic in for the next few weeks so we don't forget about it - Now is the time to start thinking about what we can and can't do for Christmas. Ali 2 Sheds' wee Santa snowmen were popular last year, and they are easy to make. Wheelbarrows, Christmas Stars and trees etc., are all doable. John has already started these.
I have managed to persuade Debbie (She who must be obeyed) to make about a dozen macrame shelves for us to sell at Christmas. I would like to use half-decent wood for the shelves, rather than MDF or chipboard. The shelves are generally around 40cms long and 15 cms wide and 1cm thick, approximately. If we have any wood like that, can you set it aside so I can prep it for her. She is also happy to make macrame flower pot holders too. We might even have some home designed cushions to sell as well.]
I've received a reply from Val Reid that we can have half a stall at the November Farmers' Market in Balerno. We should have stuff to sell by then!!!! I have also asked Val to pass on our details so we can get a stall at the Currie Craft Fair in the Community Centre on 30th November.

SHED CRUISE 2026
Our cruise last week was a great success, (see below for photo) so Alex is planning another one for next Spring. I believe it's going to start at the Kelpies and we'll sail towards the Falkirk Wheel. Ales will keep us informed...

WOOD OFFCUTS
The wood offcuts have been tidied up by Ali Skinner (thank you Ali!!). They look like they will come in useful for future projects requiring smaller bits of wood. Possibly for some of the Christmas decorations????

AGM
A quick reminder that the Shed AGM is being held on Friday 26th September, directly after the normal activities. If you have any topics for the agenda, please let one of the trustees know.

BONFIRE NIGHT
As Guy Fawkes night approaches, we need to be mindful that having a lot of wood on show is catnip to those that want to nick it, so please don't bring any pallets etc. to the shed until at least after the 5th of November.

LARCH ORDER
Scott Lawrence from Skanska UK phoned me to say that he expects a shipment of larch to be delivered to us by Friday 26th September. However, there are a couple of conditions attached to the order which I can't go into print with... I'll let you know tomorrow. I refused a delivery of pallets and told him we won't accept any until after Guy Fawkes Night.

See you all tomorrow.
