New member Colin Collier gave up some of his time this week in between the rain showers to cut the newly seeded grass area behind the Scout Hall. Many thanks Colin, good job done!!!!

In case you have not already heard, we are holding a Breakfast BBQ tomorrow (30 August) at 10.30 approximately, at the Shed. If you want to come along and have not already let Lyall (the chief griller) know, please email him at lyalldownie@blueyonder.co.uk or use the WhatsApp group to let him know. A contribution towards the cost of the food will be requested, probably in the region of £1 or £2 per person. These BBQs have been very successful so far, and it is a great opportunity to enjoy good food with good company. As per previous on-site functions, it's ALCOHOL FREE (as in- no alcohol...)

We are going to Colinton Primary School tomorrow to fit their new mud kitchen. We were going to return to Murrayburn PS next Friday to repair theirs, but I'll be in sunny Seville 🌞(sorry Davy, I forgot!!!) so I won't be able to make it.

Alister is progressing well with the cage, assisted by Jan. Any other volunteers wishing to have a go at simple welding, please speak to Alister.

I have it in the back of my car and will bring it along tomorrow. I don't know where they get the 'portable' from 'cos it's weighs a ton!!!!

Let's try and get things moving on these and see if we can have a couple ready for the Police before Guy Fawkes night. Might give us some street cred with them.

CURRIE PRIMARY SCHOOL ATRIUM

Now that Ali 2 sheds has finished his bench/planters we'll be once again concentrating on the Atrium refurbishment. We're drying off some timber to prep it for painting and fitting now that the schools are back.

LOTHIAN MEN'S SHED NETWORK MEETING
|
Armadale Shed has kindly offered to host the next Lothians Men's Shed Network Meeting at 11:00 a.m on Thursday 7th November. They are located at:7 South Street, Armadale, EH48 3EW. (What3Words – headers.approach.bronzes).
Parking – there is no parking available on site but there is public parking close by in the council car park on South Street, next to Amore Restaurant, or behind the Highlander Hotel.
Please let Iain Miller know, who will be attending and any agenda items you'd like to discuss.
